There are no plot tasks, because Beyond Earth is a classic sandbox, which can only be completed by achieving certain goals. The factions are represented by the most powerful countries, such as the United States and the states of Western Europe. Key states have equipped expeditions that will be engaged in the construction of new colonies, research and discoveries. Humanity has decided to colonize a habitable planet. The development was carried out by the unchanging studio Firaxis Games, "peru" which owns the entire Sid Meier's Civilization series. DLC was released a year after the release of Beyond Earth.
